| Materials Needed: No hole glass beads-clear, amber, green size 1.0mm Red Liner tape Silk magnolia flowers Plastic fruit Acrylic paints: copper, bronze and silver 1/2" foam brush Old scissors Note: 3oz. of beads are approximately 1/3 cup and usually enough for at least one fruit |
| Instructions for Beaded Fruit: 1. Remove stem and leaves from fruit. Place onto wax paper and use foam brush to paint with copper, bronze or silver metallic paint. Let dry. 2. Cut various triangle shapes of red liner tape, long enough to fit from top to bottom of fruit. Remove white backing and stick to fruit. Continue covering fruit with tape, overlapping where needed. Where tape forms wrinkles, just push the wrinkles and folds flat onto the fruit before removing the top red liner. 3. Pour clear beads into large container. Push fruit down into beads. Push beads onto tape with fingers, flattening out folds and wrinkles. Shake off excess beads. |
| Instructions for Beaded Magnolias: 1. Trace around petal to make a paper pattern. Trace paper pattern onto white side of red liner tape sheet. Cut out with scissors. 2. Remove white backing and stick tape to top of petal. Remove top red plastic strip and dip petal into amber beads. Then dip remainder of petal into clear beads. Repeat process with each petal that is beaded with amber beads. 3. Paint Magnolia stamen with copper metallic paint. Optional: Bead leaves with clear or green glass beads following the same process for Magnolia petals. |
