Foil Lattice

Foil Lattice is an open weave metallic foil sheet. It is resin based and can be heated with a heat gun on the foil side to "round up" the pattern which gives it a rich dimensional look.

Available in three metallic colors: Gold, Silver, Copper

Three patterns are available in each color: Diamond, Loops, Crooked

Foil Lattice Technique

Place the shiny foil side up on a flat non-stick surface. Use a heat gun over the foil until you see the melting and "rounding up" happening. Move to another area of the foil and repeat. Let cool completely before cutting segments and gluing to project surfaces.

Thick white glues can be used or plastic bonding glues will work. Test a small piece with your glue to make sure it holds on the surface you are decorating. Dab the glue in spots on the back of the foil piece and press against the surface for a good bond.

Foil Lattice is flexible and will conform to slight curves.

Ideas for Using the Lattice

Samples shown are using small segments of the Foil Lattice glued to card and paper.

Other artists are using it on gourds, eggs, jewelry and mixed media crafting.
